Seven-Year Eyes

In honor of Parks's first day of school, here's something I wrote a couple of years ago:

Discoverer.
Adventurer.
Seer of things unseen.
To seven-year eyes
The world is new,
Exciting and clean.
Oh, what a gift
To catch a glimpse
Of life through seven-year eyes.
I, too, with you
We're discoverers,
Adventurers and spies.
